[X-Unix] Sendmail

Any one out there know a lot about sendmail?

     I  need to configure Sendmail [on 10.2.8, on a work machine; not  
mine] to send AOL mails via a particular mail sever with a specified  
username and password.  I've got the O'Reilly manuel, but apparently  
don't know where to look, or can't recognize it when I see it.  Is  
there anyone that can lend me a hand (either with directions to a  
resource or thru experience) ??
