[X-Unix] X11 permission's

Hi,

We access a GUI tape backup program on a SGI server through X11 and xterm. 
Suddenly, on 2 machines out a 12, when a network user tries to launch X11 
they get this error in the xterm window:

"shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent 
directories: Permission denied"

This prevents them from starting a session on the SGI server to access the 
tape program. The GUI will not open on their display.

If logged in as a local user on the machine it runs fine.
