[X-Unix] Multiple daily run output emails

Hi,
I configured /etc/defaults/periodic.conf to email the outputs of the  
periodic stuff to me.
The only changes I made were to add my user name to the daily_output  
variables.

Sometimes, but not always, I get 2 daily run outputs!
I keep msgs for a month only, and on 4/6, 4/7, and today, I got 2 msgs.

1 at 3:14 AM, which is too early, and the other at the regularly  
scheduled time of 3:15 AM.

/System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.periodic-daily.plist looks  
fine, scheduled to fire @ 3:15 AM.

My personal crontab has no reference to any of the periodics.

Can anyone help resolve this strange behavior?
