Sure, but the original poster complained that doing the search was too
brute-force.  Other solutions that simply re-arrange the
brute-forceness (probably not a word, but hey, it's early in the
morning) don't address the core issue.

This is not a cheap operation.  That said, outside of file system
analysis tools, I've never had a reason to ever want to do this in my
30+ years of Unix programming.
