I switched from Pagemaker to InDesign 2x. At one time (early 90's) I had taught a couple of companies how to use Quark so the InDesign paradigm was not too alien to me. Kind of half way between Pagemaker and Quark, but you don't have to deal with a company that seemed to hate its customers. (My political comment!) OSX stability is well worth the change from OS9 and IMHO InDesign is a much more fully featured product than Pagemaker. Of course there has been very little if any development done for Pagemaker in the last 3 or 4 years. One area that is truly neat is the integration of the other Adobe products into the InDesign workflow.
