I would agree with Richard that you will have more success sharing a Windows directory and mounting that on your mac. You can then use a simple SMB protocol to mount the share. I do use Windows sharing on occasion and it actually works OK. The major problem being the same problem with OSX as a whole, that you cannot choose the directory to share like you can in the evil world of windows. A Windows Share on your Mac will share out your entire Home directory. Browsing does not always work, but the path is \\<Mac name or IP>\<user short name>. So a sample would be \\Mac5\chucky or \\192.168.0.121\chucky. IP is probably the best way to go, but make sure to use your User's short name.
