[X4U] phono to CD

I would like to make CD's of my LP collection. I am at the beginning of 
this project, so my questions are basic: how to connect the phonograph 
and computer; the best method for recording from a phonograph; and so 
on.

I am familiar with manipulating digital audio files and burning CD's. I 
use Peak Studio for audio work, although I am not an expert with the 
software.
