Just for the record, I bought a head set just to realize the PowerBook 
has no mic plug, just line-in. In order to use a mic you need an 
auto-amplified one, or an iMic.

Looks like it is a well-known issue, but well, I didn't know it until I 
had to figure out why on earth people didn't heard my voice when I 
configured the computer to use the mic. I still use the internal mic, 
and the head set is lost in some box now.
