Ok. I use Jaguar 10.2.
 From the information above, OSX reports that your NIC is working fine. 
The IP address allocated to your NIC is an internal number. Try to ping 
your assigned IP address. If that works, it means that your NIC is 
completely fine and working well. Then that puts to rest any doubts 
about the functionality of the NIC.

 From then on, you will need to examine your cables to verify that they 
indeed are ok.

Let me know whether you can ping your assigned IP.
