<smile> It seems that would work. The clipboard doesn't care what is copied to it. If you want a "space" copied to it, do so. Like any other text character, it will copy over and replace what's already there. I just selected the "C" in the text below, did a command-c to "copy' it the clipboard, and after repositioning the cursor, did a command-v to "paste," it showed up at the cursor. That works with a space as well. Try it... keith whaley Eric Pentice wrote: > Wouldn't just copying something else remove what was on there? > > Select a single word or even a space, Command-C. > > Or am I missing something deeper here? > > Eric > > > > On Sep 15, 2004, at 10:45 PM, Peter Sealy wrote: > >> On 16/09/2004, at 10:12 AM, Al Simcoe wrote: >> >>> >>> Can someone tell me how to "Flush" the System Clipboard? >>> >>> Thank you in advance, >>> >>> Al SImcoe >> >> >> One way is to Restart but that may not suit your working environment. >> >> Cheers >> ......... >> >> Peter Sealy > > > > *:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:**:-.,_,.-:*'``'*:-.,_,.-:* > Dr. Bott "Distribution Macintosh Style" > 9720 SW Hillman Ct., Suite 840 > Wilsonville, OR 97070 > 877.611.2688 • 503.682.6767 fax > www.drbott.com > > _______________________________________________ > X4U mailing list > X4U at listserver.themacintoshguy.com > http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/x4u > > >
