[X4U] Is The OSX 10.3.8 Update Ok?

Hi, Dave.
There's a font caching bug that creeped in with the 10.3.6 update,
and is still present in 10.3.8 that affects users with large font
collections, causing slow startups. I've not been stricken with it,
but John Gruber documents and discusses the problem in depth on his
web site: <http://daringfireball.net/2005/03/font_caches_gone_wild>
There's a work-around for the subset of users with the problem, but
if you use lots of fonts, you may want to wait for the Tiger release,
or perhaps 10.3.9 if Apple chooses to do one more update before then.
Other than that, I've found it to be a rock solid update, and haven't
seen any problems on the handful of machines at my disposal.
Best,
Rick
