Then, I misinterpreted your "can't view page source from Safari when loading a page" statement. It may be that he has corrupted cache files or adverse icon files. Try these: launch Safari, Safari->Empty Cache, quit Safari, delete the Icons folder in ~/Library/Safari/, relaunch Safari, and see if that fixes things. If not, then create another admin user account, log into it, and see if the problem persists. If not, then some prefs file is conflicting, and troubleshooting those is left as an exercise for the user. If so, log back into the original account, delete the new one, and then try Safari->Reset Safari.
