It depends on your definition of good. My definition of "good" for hard drives means that they are not dead and are producing any read/write/data errors. We have not had any problems with it so far and we have been using for almost a year now. Just plug and go when we need it, on Windows systems too. I don't use the built-in backup software that it comes with, so I actually find the little button on the front to be annoying. I keep thinking it's the power button, not the "back up now" button. Other than that, no complaints.
