Quite often, my 6 year old will throw a tantrum asking for things she
doesn't really want. Why? For the attention, of course. If she got
what she said she wanted, she wouldn't know what to do with it. Same
thing here.

I didn't even know Tiger Direct was still in business until I read the story.
