Where did you see several positive reports? Here's one in addition to my own favorable experience as a Beta tester for the last 3 versions: Purchased Mac Quicken 2006 from Intuit this morning. I have been one of those people that purchases every version, going back about ten or so years. And every year, i swear I'm going to pass on the new version. And every year, I buy it. For me, Mac '06 would be a make or break version. If it was yet another buggy, unstable, weak version, I was going to go the VPC route. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The Smart Payee feature alone is worth the upgrade price. Additionally, the Remove Capitalizations from Downloaded Transactions is also a great addition. The ability to "set and forget" the backup to your .Mac account is great as well. I have been beating on the program as much as possible; and performing actions that would make '05 crash. So far, so go. It might be a bit early to say this, but perhaps, there is hope for the Mac version after all :) Here is a discussion group where experiences are shared. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/quickenmac/ > On Aug 2, 2005, at 11:38 AM, Gerald Buc wrote: > Steve > Your experience is not typical.
