[X4U] Dumb question

PHP is installed, MySQL, no.

Marc Liyanange has a wonderful page on installing it at:

http://www.entropy.ch/software/MacOSx/mysql/

He used to have binaries, etc, but MySQL folks have started doing the  
binary install, so you can get it there.  (he has links from this  
page, as well as the typical problems, etc..)
