I'm not in the "know" so I may be way off target with this, but I think they've only managed to hack the preview version that Apple released for developers. From what I recall reading about their plans for the production or "full retail" version of OS X for x86 is that they're going to be relying on a series of measures to make sure it only runs on Apple hardware. The developer version was put together to run on existing x86 architecture and the TPM solution that was circumvented by the hackers may not be one of, or only part of, the measures that Apple will use to ensure that the OS only runs on their hardware.
