So, her computer is a Windows unit, yes? Unfortunately, there's not much you can do with a Windows Media Player file. Some folks have had some luck with WMV's with a shareware app called FFMpeg, but it is not an intuitive, Mac like app. What is the original source of the movie? Is it VHS tape? MiniDV tape? DVD? Your best bet would be to forget the WMV and re-import the original footage into your Mac, you can then edit and export to DVD much easier from the clean movie file. -- Nick Scalise nickscalise at mac.com
