[X4U] OK to keep passwords in Keychain?

I use 10+ character alpha-numeric passwords on my Tiger macs..I like  
the security, but after the 3rd or 4th time in a row being asked to  
type it, I am SO tempted to add it to my keychain.

but, if I do that, am I sort of letting the  horses out of the pen?
