[X4U] Web browser problems with Wired site?

Is anyone else having significant problems trying to access articles 
at the Wired site?

Previously the articles would crash Safari 1.3.1 (v312.3.1) a 
significant amount of the time.  Pages that would crash it would do 
so consistantly.  The same pages were viewable in Firefox 1.5.

Tonight, both browsers show everything except the *articles* themselves!?!?!
