Yep. and I think it's a sorry shame line-in either doesn't work or doesn't come with some macs. I ended up getting a Logitech USB Desktop Mic at the local Apple Store..appx $20 US. I don't see a model number, but this thing looks like it'd be at home on Spock's desk. Has an on-off switch on the mic's base and the sound quality is excellent, considering the low price. nk On Dec 30, 2005, at 7:52 AM, alexandre wrote: > hi > yesterday i bought a cheap (€10 with skypeout credit) headset to > use with skype. it's basically the same as as a mobile phone > headset except it plugs into the headphone and line-in ports of my > mac. > when i go into the sound preferences and select "line-in" the input > level remains at 0. i did some researching on google and found out > the line-in port don't work with unpowered deviced, such as my > headset. can anyone confirm? > > regards > > alexandre > :: 17" 1.5ghz powerbook / 1.5gb / 80gb / X.4.3 :: -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
