The basic problem with backing up via USB is that for the most part, you can't
make the backup bootable; thus, you can't check it to ensure it'll work unless
you restore it. See <http://forums.bombich.com/viewtopic.php?t=5101>, for
example.

If that's the case, dispense with using AirPort.
