I haven't tried it with the newer (aluminum) PB's, but I swapped
drives a few times on my old TiBook. It's not a difficult procedure
at all there, but I recommend you read over the instructions very
carefully a few times before you start, and make sure you go slow and
have the proper tools on hand before you start.
At one point we also replaced the DVD combo drive with a DVD burner,
and had to make a trip halfway through to Canadian Tire to get a
smaller Torx driver.
