I have heard it alleged that NIC with a Realtek 8139 chipset will work 
under OS X, but that this is sure to

D-Link's "mac-compaible products" page 
<http://www.dlink.com/products/?sec=0&pid=122> and if you look under 
its specifications OS X is mentioned. Drivers for this card can hardly 
be worse than those for the DWL-122.     ;)
