I don't think a G5 is imminent any time soon. I keep reading about 
references to a G5 in Apple's web pages but I think that's more to do 
with the '4' and '5' keys being next to each other or the page designer 
not being so aware of the product range rather than any indication that 
a G5 PowerBook is due soon. You can bet that Apple are working on it.

Even if it did come out today I think the first versions will be heavy, 
hot and big and cost an arm and a leg. I paid £2,700 for my 1st gen 
17", they're on sale now at £1,849.
