An alternative to an OSX newsreader is to use bloglines, a 
web-based RSS reader for any OS. A benefit of a web-based 
newsreader is the ability to check your feeds from any computer 
connected to the 'net.

Plus, you can use it to create a blog and to clip and articles 
of interest.
