I have a number of iPhoto Libraries, the largest being about 22,481 images, about 29 Gb.Sometimes when I open this library, I get the beachball of death. Opening the console window, I see thousands of this message: 2005-02-11 08:12:28.862 iPhoto[524] *** -[NSCFString timeIntervalSinceNow]: selector not recognized 2005-02-11 08:12:28.862 iPhoto[524] *** -[NSCFString timeIntervalSinceNow]: selector not recognized 2005-02-11 08:12:28.862 iPhoto[524] *** -[NSCFString timeIntervalSinceNow]: selector not recognized 2005-02-11 08:12:28.862 iPhoto[524] *** -[NSCFString timeIntervalSinceNow]: selector not recognized I force quit iPhoto, and restarted with the same result. The first time this happened, I thought it was fatal, and I went through the apple-option-shift rebuild, which took hours, but eventually succeeded. It happened again this morning, and I discovered that if I open a different library, exit iPhoto, then reopen the large library, the problem disappears. This is on my 2.5DP w/1.5G ram. It first occurred on 10.3.7, now on 10.3.8. I am happy that I have a workaround, but would like to know what is causing this. Cheers, Drew - Andrew T.
