If you're viewing streams coming from some server on the net, it may be bandwidth and latency problems between you and the server. The fastest computer in the world can't fix that. If its a stream coming from your hard drive, view it with activity monitor open and see what's happening. Is your processor maxed out (and is it WMP doing it?)? How about your RAM (is your system doing a lot of swapping?)? -Mike
