[X4U] iWorks, specifically Pages app

The Apple site implies that the Pages app has a limitation of three 
"panels" so I presume it is not suitable for creating a newsletter of 
more than three pages. Is anyone using Pages and what is the limitation 
on pages within a document?
Of course I am looking for a $79 replacement for QuarkXPress <g>. Who 
isn't? What's the real scoop on Pages regarding typography, image 
placement, and columnar controls, to mention a few items?
