Hello, This raises the issue of how does Skype discover another Skype user. According to the latest issue of Macworld, user xyz registers themselves using one or more schemes (phone,address,...). So, to get Skype to Skype (domestic and international) I assume that you have your friends download Skype, install and register. Of course, ringing beeps only work when both computers are turned on and attended. So, the scheme leaves the legwork up to you. You talk your relatives into downloading Skype and then figure out a "time to call schedule". Subject: Re: [X4U] Re: Skype My experiences with Skype have been hit or miss. I use it on my G3 iBook 600 Mhz with 640MB. And I get better results when other apps are not running. One of these days I will try it on my G4 DP. On Dec 25, 2004, at 7:51 PM, George Harvey wrote: > I have used Skype with a Mac G4 and a G5 both running OS X 10.3.6.
