It's likely that most of the creative TV/Movie types use Macs to begin with so I'm sure the machines are handy also they look so damn good. I've seen Macs on CSI and many other shows notably Angel, which in the last season used Ti Powerbooks but covered over the Apple with silver tape. Probably Apple refused to pay for product placement they were getting for free until that time?
