Shouldn't be a problem.

I have used my old Hi-8 camcorder that same way. Connected with a 
Canopus ADVC-100

Thing is, the ADVC-100 is $280 and an iSight is $149. Other capture 
cards are either more than or similarly priced to an iSight.
