Ah, yes, I was concerned about that also. My old lumbard has a nice impression of the keyboard that can be seen in certain lights on the screen. So for my new (well it was new at one time) 15" ALPB I got an icover which solves the problem and still lets me just close the screen to sleep the machine. I don't remember where I got my cover, but the following link looks something like it. Google found several sources for around $25. <http://www.acmemade.com/powerbook.html> My 2 cents worth, Jim > From: Stroller <MacMonster at myrealbox.com> > Reply-To: "A place to discuss Mac OS X for the casual user." > <x4u at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> > Date: Tue, 18 Jan 2005 09:25:05 +0000 > To: "A place to discuss Mac OS X for the casual user." > <x4u at listserver.themacintoshguy.com> > Subject: Re: [X4U] Powerbook power button... > > As soon as I realised I forgot to mention this in my original posting, > I wondered when it would come up - my Powerbook is a current model, so > like yours it does sleep when the lid is closed. > > Others will have noticed, however, the tendency that Powerbooks' keys > have to come into contact with the screen, and transfer finger grease > to the display.
