[X4U] Off topic but badly need a answer

I manage to import the video into imove by doing file->import  , but 
there is no audio.  I tried MactheRipper but it gives me a read error. 
This is most likely because the disk is a CD. I Can't play it in my 
home DVD player  which plays vcd, svcd and dvds. Is there a program 
that can extract the audio so that I can bring it into imovie and put 
the two together. TIA  Bob
