[X4U] Safari go-slow

A few things to try.
Go to your Home Directory/Library/Caches/Safari/delete everything in
this folder.
Go to your Home Directory/Library/Safari/delete everything except
Bookmarks.plist.
Go to your Home Directory/Library/Safari/Icons/delete everything in
this folder.
Reboot
