Tiger 10.4.2 update fixed the authentication problem experienced by CCC 2.3 (and other ASS applications). CCC works properly with Jaguar, Panther, Tiger 10.4.2. Use this work-around for 10.4 and 10.4.1: Launch the Terminal app, type in the following sudo open followed by a space, then navigate in the Finder to where you stored CCC. Click and drag the CCC icon into the terminal window. Click on the terminal window, hit the return key, enter your admin password, hit the return key, set up CCC as desired, click on the lock icon, enter your password, click OK, then click on the Clone button. If any dialog boxes pop up saying you can't do something because you need root access, hit the ignore button, and CCC will complete the clone.
