Is malware only a problem for Windows users who are >idiots and who don't install anti-viral software? I'm not sure what the current state of anti-spyware/malware software is. It's probably been over a year since I booted my Windows box (the combo of moving from a G4/450AGP to G5 2x2, and switching to Safari, mostly got rid of my needs for a Windows box). At that time, with current anti-virus software I could be infected with spyware basically as soon as I went online. To combat this I started using a registry hack called IE-SPYAD, which blocked most spyware sites, that coupled with spyware removal largely took care of the problem, but it was a royal pain in the neck. I tend to suspect that those that say they don't have a problem don't realize that they do, but at the same time, maybe the new Antivirus software is doing a better job. Zane -- -- | Zane H.
