[X4U] Bonjour always starts as "Disconnected" in iChat 3

I use iChat's menu extra to set my status, thus not needing to launch iChat.
Setting the status from the menu sets the status for both Bonjour and
iChat/AIM. Unfortunately, ever since upgrading to Tiger, it seems that
Bonjour doesn't get set properly. When I later launch iChat, Bonjour is
almost always set at "Disconnected" which I can then change to Online, Away,
etc.

Anyone else seeing this? Solutions?
