This isn't surprising, for the moment, since the first Intel models will be replacing G4s, not G5s (and 64-bit Intel chips will be neither cheap, nor plentiful for at least another 12 to 18 months). The Apple roadmap keeps 64-bit class machines on PPC until 2007.
