[X4U] Mac Equivalents of Windows apps (was Re: Apple's move to Intel chips)

I know there are a few people who absolutely need Win to run an app  
or two that are either not available in OSX or what is available in  
OSX is substandard.

At the same time I feel the huge software choices touted for Windows  
is kinda a false front. A lot of that stuff is truly crap; I have  
used a lot of it over time in jobs and for clients. When you weed out  
the crap and the places where excessive choice is ridiculous, there  
is a small increase in the Windows side. And this increase is  
disappearing with OSX. AND, for a very high percentage of regular  
users this apparent choice disparity is a non-issue, even thought  
they have been trained to worry about it.
