If you keep posting the same thing often enough, someone will tell you 
"it depends on whether it's formatted FAT32 or NTFS"

That's weird. Does the drive require an external power source? I have 
one which will draw power off about half the USB machines I connect it 
to - the other half require me to connect a PSU.
