If so, he (or someone with a broadband connection) should download the files from Macromedia's website. Assuming you're talking about the latest version (MX 2004). If he has dial-up, anyone can burn those downloaded files to CD/DVD for him. They are 30 day full-use demos. When he starts the first application, it will ask if he wants to demo the software or if he has a serial number.
