Yes, and I'd say that less than 1% of society are interested in criminal 
activity but as a society we have to secure ourselves because of those 
individuals. That's why we all, where possible, have car/house alarms, 
passwords on our bank accounts, locks on our doors and windows etc.

When you say it merely requires passive sniffing, the reality is that 
less than 1% of the list members would have any clue how they might 
accomplish this. We are talking about a possibility that is 
ridiculously small that this might ever happen to anyone.
