No luck! Inside, boosting the contrast with that control does seem to whiten the white background of documents. Outside, it appears to have no effect on the white background ... in fact small increments have no discernable effect, large increments just seem to convert some of the black UI elements to white (not text though ... just things like the lines dividing email subject lines in Eudora.) I appreciate the reminder though of that contrast slider there. Forgot about it. I use the zoom function a lot for training. AM
