I have been getting all my messages to the list bounced with the error of:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  x4u at listserver.themacintoshguy.com
    host lookup did not complete: retry timeout exceeded


I sent this one via webmail access to my earthlink.net account. I hope it makes it. If so, I know the problem is with my mail client and/or its settings.
