[X4U] removing software from OS X

Greetings,

I've been trying to find out how to properly remove software from OS X. 
I'm running 10.2.8 on an iMac G4. I recently installed Firefox and 
would like to remove the old Mozilla I was using previously.

I can't find any information on how to access any sort of package 
management system in OS X to remove it cleanly.

I come from a UNIX (and FreeBSD) background if that matters.
