[X4U] Sharing ?

I've connected two mac's via Ethernet switch setup, and sharing files,
my G4 Mac (running OS X 10.3.8) is show up on my other mac desktop... 
however,
notice that right permission are for root only to that drive?

I did login as myself, which does have admin status....
how does one setup the shared drive, and have access to it:
I have 3 drives, on the my G4
unix
OS9
Storage

the OS 9 drive is the one I am sharing...
to the other mac, which is running OS 8.6
