Interesting... Must have been a mistake in 10.1, because you can't create an
account with a short name like that now. No spaces or funny characters
allowed.

You may end up with other problems because of that user name... I'd suggest
you create a new account then copy everything from your home folder into the
new home folder (use the Shared folder to transfer it). That looks like a
recipe for trouble.
