Funny, I've got KA installed inside iPhoto and it seems to work just  
fine with Tiger. Maybe I had a newer version?

I've seen some funny things happening with ownership and permissions  
in Tiger. Perhaps you could try a reinstall from the latest version  
before you conclude it doesn't work. Apparently some installers work  
for some people but not others in Tiger, and the reason why is not  
yet known.
