Helllo again, My iMac G5 / 1.8 ghx / 768 RAM is having a strange behavior. Activity monitor gives ne high percentage of CPU usage in the likes of: • CPU automatic mode: kernel task 25-30% • CPU maximum mode: kernel task 10-15% • CPU maximum mode, Mail, Safari, Monitor Activity, X Resource Graph opened: kernel task = 20%, (Activity Monitor) or 29-40% according to X Resource Graph. If reverted to Automatic or Minimal, kernel tasks jump by almost 15%. Semms to me that this inflation in CPU usage is seen only since a 512 megs memory stick was added. Didn't do that with 512 megs if I remember well. Is it in the specs of Apple? Can you point me to some help please? Thanks in advance Germain iMac G5 / 1.8 mhz / 768 RAM Tiger 10.4.2 français
